  • You should start by teaching your dogs some very basic commands for it to follow. These commands are the simplest ones of course in sit and stay. You may think these will be things your dog will automatically know but you will be surprised to know that you do need to teach these to your dogs in order for them to follow. Start at meal time with your dog when it comes to teaching it to sit. Hold the food up so that your dog cannot reach it and have them stay down and sit until they behave. This will take a lot of training and patience but when they do follow your commands make sure that you do reward them for their efforts. In short, small treats help how to stop dog jumping up or stop dog from pulling.

  • Take your dog outside on a leash. This is the best thing for both you and your dog so that you know how to walk a dog and become acquainted with each other. You should start by attaching a leash to your dog inside and do some basic walking around your house. Then take your dog outside and remain patient with it as it will obviously be extremely excited to walk outside and experience all the new things that being outside brings it. Remain in control when walking your dog to ensure maximum results.

  • Once you have taught your dog basic things such as dog walking, sitting and staying you can then move on to some more advanced tricks and techniques. These can include teaching your dog to roll over, play dead or even carry items to you. The possibilities are endless!
